Comment from Josie, Education Division
ReplyDeleteA couple of questions concerning the Education Challenge have arrived at the BSI School Division Email Address and/or TEXT LINE. Our Rules & Guidelines require that all questions post to the blog so that everyone can benefit from the answer. I'm posting the question myself so that everyone has the same amount of information. See below:
THIS LINE OF QUESTIONS ARRIVED BY TEXT, SO PLEASE EXCUSE THE TYPOS IN MY RESPONSES. I WAS TYPING QUICKLY. OOPS.
QUESTION FROM EDUCATOR:
Can I use my friend Ann'a Enterprise workbook for education challenge? I left a voice mail and realized it probably made no sense.
EDUCATION DIVISION RESPONSE:
No, workbooks must be purchased by the participant. You would be able to use her Baby Lock Enterprise, if you had your own workbook. BUT, I thought you said that Anna doesn't have an Enterprise and that she purchased a Brother multineedle machine. --haven't listened to voicemails yet so if there were other questions I'll have to respond to those a bit later.
QUESTION FROM EDUCATOR:
Have two friends with an enterprise
RESPONSE FROM EDUCATION DIVISION:
I'll need their serial numbers and place of purchase. They must be verified as coming from an authorized Baby Lock dealer before they can be used for Edu Hours. If I can't get them verified I can'r count the hours. Its in the rule section. Please don't wait until the last moment to send info. It takes a long time to get this done and it isn't always possible. I don'r want you to do all the work and then be disappointed. I won't have hours/days to devote to rhis effort.
QUESTION FROM EDUCATOR:
No problem. The one I will most likely use was purchased at the Okc store How much is the book
RESPONSE FROM EDUCATION DIVISON:
$169.95 I think.
FINAL ANSWER FROM EDUCATION DIVISION ON THIS THREAD:
$199.99 is the current price listed in our computer system. There are no discounts on workbooks, so the price would be $199.99 not $169.99 (NOTE: I will try to remember to never quote prices by text if I can't verify them first. It only leads to confusion later. Josie)
Here is another question that came in recently that I believe is about the Education Challenge. I'm posting it also because I would rather err on the side of caution, than not "play fair" with all participants. All future questions that arrive by text or email will be sent a notice that directs the educator to post the question on the blog. No answers will be given by email or text. Sorry, no exceptions.
ReplyDeleteQUESTION FROM EDUCATOR:
1. Will all the accessories in the accessory bag ($500) and the workbook work on my Grace machine, or do I need to use Ellisimo?
RESPONSE FROM EDUCATION DIVISION:
The foot bag that you purchased was for a different machine than the GRACE. It was designed for the Ellisimo and Ellegante, but that doesn't mean that a lot of the feet won't work on a BL40A Grace. The selection within the FOOT BAG has changed over the years so I can't give you a list of what will work and what won't work. The best I can do is send you a chart that will show ALL OF THE BABY LOCK FEET and which machines each one fits. Your BL40A Grace is a Category D machine. You can look on the chart and find the foot that you are curious about, then look across the columns and see if it will work with your Category D Machine. The Baby Lock Accessory Workbook will work with many Baby Lock machines, but some machines may not be able to do EVERY function or technique due to limitations of the machine model or lack of a particular accessory. If you are contemplating using this for Education Challenge Hours, I would suggest that you begin working with the machine that you prefer and skip over any lessons that you CAN'T DO with that machine.
