Embroidered Toilet Paper-Quick & Easy Project

Embroidered Toilet Paper
This is the most requested project sheet for the B-Sew Inn Education Division. Probably because it is fast, inexpensive and novice embroiderers are almost always successful on the first attempt. It's hard to do this wrong, but if a student does find a way, tear off another 8 squares and try again.

 Supplies:
Two Ply Roll of Toilet Paper, Cut Away Stabilizer, KK2000 Adhesive Spray, Clear or Iridescent Gift Wrap, Ribbon

Instructions:
1) Cut the stabilizer slightly larger than the hoop (4x4 hoop works best). Hoop the stabilizer. Spray the top of the stabilizer lightly with KK2000.

2) Tear off 8-10 squares from the rolls. Remove and throw away the first couple of squares (they are usually a little ragged.). Place the third square of toilet paper in the center of your hoop. Just lay it in. Don’t hoop it. Leave the remaining squares attached but make sure that they will not snag on anything as the machine begins to move the hoop.

3) Embroider your design.

4) Remove the toilet paper and stabilizer from the hoop. Trim the excess stabilizer even with the edges of the toilet paper. Only trim the 2 sides that run the length of the 8 squares. This will be at the top & bottom of your embroidery area. Don't trim all the way down to the design. You want a smooth surface all the way to the edge, not a bumpy circle, outlining your embroidery, under the thin paper.

5) Attach the long end of the toilet paper to the original roll using tape. Roll the rest onto the roll, fold and tuck the excess squares to the back of the roll and tape again on the backside of the roll.

6) Wrap the toilet paper roll in the clear or iridescent gift wrap and secure with a ribbon.
